Securian Makes its Mark on Minnesota Twins

The St. Paul-based financial services company will be the first to have its logo featured on the team's jerseys.

Securian Financial is stepping up to the plate in a big way: the St. Paul-based insurance and retirement services company just inked a deal as the Minnesota Twin’s first “jersey patch partner.”  Buxton and the gang will sport the Securian logo on their jersey sleeves in all games—spring training, regular season, and—the team can only hope—post-season starting with the team’s away game in Colorado on Friday, July 18.

The Twins pitched this strategic partnership as taking Securian’s longstanding relationship with the team to a national stage, beyond Target Field.

“At Securian Financial, we’re proud of our Minnesota roots and even prouder to grow with a brand as respected and beloved as the Twins,” Securian chairman, president and CEO Chris Hilger said in a statement Thursday. “This partnership is more than a logo – it’s a symbol of shared values, bold ambition and the belief that what we build together can resonate well beyond the field. We’re honored to be part of this historic moment.”

Securian branding will also be featured more prominently at Target Field and across Twins TV and radio broadcasts as part of the mutli-year deal, the team said.
