Children’s HeartLink Annual Gala

Every year, Children’s HeartLink sends volunteers to train doctors and nurses around the world to help children with congenital heart defects. The evening’s festivities will include dinner, a silent auction, and live music, and will spotlight current efforts in Vietnam. WCCO sportscaster and HeartLink board member Mark Rosen will host.

Minneapolis Heart Institute Foundation Gala

Pulitzer Prize-winning author and New York Times columnist (and St. Louis Park native) Thomas L. Friedman is this year’s keynote speaker at the foundation’s annual gala. Sponsorships and donations benefit the foundation’s research and education program to combat heart disease.

Expect to See: Leaders from Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and St. Jude Medical.

Art Perchance at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts

Hosted by Friends of the Institute, the volunteer arm of the MIA, this fundraiser, celebrating its 10th anniversary, showcases up to 100 works by local and regional artists, and the program includes cocktails, food, and live music. One of the night’s activities is the Games of Chance, where participants are awarded tokens and prizes include original works of art.

Expect to See: Execs from sponsors Dorsey & Whitney, and other patrons and enthusiasts in the art community.

Annual Gala for Bridging

KARE-11 meteorologist Belinda Jensen will be the MC at the benefit for Bridging. The organization provides furniture and household goods for up to 4,000 households in the Twin Cities every year and is the largest furniture bank in North America. The event includes a silent auction, live music, and a raffle.

18th Annual Outstanding Directors Awards
