The Arc Gala: A Place to Call Home
Hundreds attend this fundraiser for the Arc Greater Twin Cities, which serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Corporate sponsors include KPMG, Dorsey & Whitney and UnitedHealth Group. MPR host Cathy Wurzer is the MC, with entertainment by Katy Vernon (right) and the New Standards. Proceeds help fund housing resources for people with disabilities.

Whisker Whirl

Celebrate Opportunity luncheon
Opportunity Partners helps adults with disabilities in the Twin Cities to live, learn and work independently. This event includes a customer recognition presentation and networking with community and business leaders from companies such as General Mills and Graco. Hosted by WCCO-TV’s Frank Vascellaro (left), the event, which drew 450 business executives last year, will also include a business partner showcase.

United Way’s Best of Awards
United Way will celebrate recent successes and recognize organizations in categories such as Best in Fundraising and Best Employee Engagement. More than 800 people from 150 corporations, nonprofits and agencies attended last year.
