Hillery Shay stepped into the role of vice president of marketing and communications of Children’s Minnesota just over a year ago and made an immediate impact. She launched the Twin Cities children’s hospital’s highly successful Raise ‘Em Up campaign, which generated nearly 30 million impressions via new and traditional paid media channels. Shay also led Children’s Minnesota to host its first booth at the Twin Cities Pride Festival; to commit 20% of its marketing dollars to communities of color and equity groups; and to transform its partnership with the Minnesota Business Coalition for Racial Equity, which expanded the Raise ‘Em Up campaign’s reach to BIPOC communities. Shay is a founder of the Minnesota chapter of the Healthcare Businesswomen’s Association.
