Marco Acquires St. Louis-Based Company

DNT offers similar services as Marco and will allow the company to further expansion plans in the Midwest.

St. Cloud-based Marco Technologies LLC said Monday that it had acquired St. Louis, Missouri-based Document & Network Technologies, its largest purchase to date.

DNT, which provides many of the same services that Marco does—including IT services, copiers and printers, shredding and image services—will allow the company to expand its geographic footprint further throughout the Midwest. It currently serves more than 3,400 clients.

The purchase “supports our strategy for continued national growth,” said Marco CEO Jeff Gau.

Indeed, Marco has been been on something of a buying frenzy recently, with DNT marking its 14th purchase in three years.

No headcount changes are expected are expected at DNT, which currently employs 80 people. They’ll join Marco’s more than 1,100 workers in 50 locations across the country.

The new employees are likely in good hands: Marco was recently named a top workplace for millennials, and CEO Jeff Gau emphasized work-life balance for employees as part of the company’s success when he was named an EY Entrepreneur of the Year in 2015. “We don’t give out awards for most hours worked,” he said.

Marco, formerly an employee-owned company, was purchased by Norwest Equity Partners late last year.
