CoCo Opening Northeast Minneapolis Coworking Space
Collaborative and coworking space CoCo said it will open a new northeast Minneapolis location in mid July.
CoCo is moving into Sport Ngin’s recently vacated space at 1400 Van Buren St. NE, calling it “the heart of the city’s (scratch that—the country’s) best arts district.”
“Northeast is the place to be these days,” CoCo cofounder Don Ball said in a statement. “We’re going to be just blocks from some local superstars, like Sports Ngin, Buzzfeed and Smart Things, not to mention a half-dozen tap rooms, a new distillery and countless artists.”
The space will have, among other features, 10 closed-door offices for groups, six dedicated open spaces, 5 meeting rooms available to book, 14 dedicated single desks and coworking space.
CoCo Northeast will be the company’s fifth location and the fourth one still open, joining spaces in downtown Minneapolis, the Uptown neighborhood of Minneapolis and St. Paul.
The company closed its Fargo location in early June—its first venture outside the Twin Cities—due to lack of membership and interest. It said it would focus on “new growth opportunities” where coworking demand already exists.
