Arts Picks: Art Expanded, 1958-1978
At the Walker
The 1960s and 1970s were a transformational period in 20th-century art, when artists all over the world began challenging the status quo with a vengeance. Drawing from its extensive collection, the Walker Art Center has chosen more than 300 works by 100 artists, filmmakers and choreographers, organizing them by conceptual theme. Among the artists represented are Yoko Ono, Jasper Johns, John Cage, Merce Cunningham, Trisha Brown and George Brecht.
