BDH Design continues to raise the bar on commercial interior design in Minnesota. Marking 55 years in business, the Minneapolis firm recently raked in nine industry awards for its work. BDH’s Schafer Richardson headquarters project earned Finance & Commerce’s  Project of the Year, while the Minnesota Real Estate Journal gave BDH honors for two senior living communities. BDH completed significant work in 2025, including a headquarters relocation for Messerli Kramer law firm in Minneapolis and Minnesota Lottery renovations in Roseville. It maintains a 95% rate of repeat business and referrals, reflecting the firm’s dedication to exceeding clients’ expectations and creating purposeful spaces.

The Doran Group has made it the company’s mission to bring luxury options to the multifamily housing sector. The Eden Prairie firm is extending this work into the 55-plus market for active adult housing. It kicked off construction for Olinia-Maple Grove in 2025 in the Arbor Lakes development. The $46 million, 132-unit project will be the first in a line of boutique developments featuring four-story buildings. Doran recently won approval from the Hudson City Council for its 55-plus Linden House development and plans to break ground this year. It also is developing similar projects for seniors in Rochester, Minnesota, and Madison, Wisconsin.

Doran Companies is a believer in the design-build process, using a multidisciplinary approach from the get-go. The Bloomington firm and its 131 employees champion collaboration among its in-house design, preconstruction, and construction teams to complete on-time and on-budget projects. One of Minnesota’s largest woman-owned commercial general contractors, Doran has a busy year ahead. It closed on land for three new multifamily communities totaling 448 units, including a 228-unit building at the Seven Points redevelopment in Uptown Minneapolis. In 2025, Doran completed work at Vale Apartments in Minnetonka, which involved redeveloping an office building into a 197-unit multifamily building.
