Description

Across the disparate industries he’s led—CEO of Chuck E. Cheese’s parent company, executive vice president of FedEx Kinko’s—Tom Leverton has been most inspired by work that helps save lives. He started as a medical device engineer, and his first CEO role was for a medical-services helicopter company. He sees his new job—he became CEO in November—in the same light. Woodbury-based Self Esteem Brands (Anytime Fitness’ parent) merged with Florida-based Orangetheory last year, creating Purpose. As the fitness industry grows, “2026 is the first year we can really leverage our scale,” Leverton says, calling Purpose “the world’s largest health and wellness platform.” He says to expect international expansion, domestic growth, and enhanced services, including infrared saunas.
