Nonoko Sato has served as president and CEO of the Minnesota Council of Nonprofits (MCN) for the past four years, supporting more than 2,000 nonprofits across the state with training, research, networking, and public policy work. As Trump administration policy shifts mandate sweeping change for Minnesota’s nonprofits, MCN has stepped up its communications and supported a broader advocacy platform. MCN recently launched a new program with LegalCORPS to ensure that nonprofits have the resources to respond to executive orders and changes in legislation. “It’s important right now for all nonprofits to strengthen their policy arms,” Sato says.
