Meka White Morris

Senior vice president/chief revenue officer

Minnesota Twins

Meka White Morris is a former college track athlete, the daughter of Boston Celtics legend Jo Jo White, and she landed deals with several NFL teams while working for global payment firm Tappit. Unafraid of a challenge, White Morris moved to Minneapolis in the middle of the pandemic to take on a newly created role with the Minnesota Twins, where she’s charged with business development and creating new revenue streams. White Morris thinks of baseball as the “heart and soul of American sports,” albeit one in need of a refresh. “A lot of young people need to be reintroduced to the sport. The way they consume media is different; their ability to focus on a nine-inning game is different. They’re going to have their phone in hand and walk around the stadium. How do you create experiences that allow them to enjoy that without disrupting the experience that others want to consume in a traditional fashion?”
