An outlier throughout the pandemic, Evereve, the Edina-based national retail chain, added stores across the country while competitors were closing their doors. Now many of those locations are about to get bigger. Just shy of 100 stores, Evereve’s 2023 focus will be on near-doubling the size of existing stores. The added space will make way for new categories like footwear and outerwear. Mike Tamte says sales have nearly doubled at stores with the larger footprint, like the company’s 50th & France flagship. (In 2022, Evereve surpassed $100 million in online sales for the first time.) Now, this retail duo intends to apply their winning formula to another local specialty retailer, Jaxen Grey. The Tamtes are co-founders with veteran retailer Michael Druskin. Mike Tamte, who chairs the board for retailer Jaxen Grey, expects the menswear shop, now at the Galleria and in the North Loop, to grow beyond the Twin Cities within two years.Â
