Maureen Steinwall

Steinwall Inc.

When Maureen Steinwall took over as president of the company in 1985, many customers and employees of the Coon Rapids-based injection-molding company quit in protest because a woman was becoming the boss. She has repeatedly proved them wrong. The company held on during the recession by tapping into Steinwall's financial acumen--including an MBA in operations management and a Ph.D. in business--an emphasis on training, and deep customer relationships. Post-recession, Steinwall posted 25 percent revenue growth in 2011 and 15 percent in 2012, on track to reach $50 million in revenue in the next decade.
