Only two years into the job, but backed by 25 years of health care industry experience, Herman continues to spearhead other innovative hearing instruments, including the U.S. launch of the app that turns iPhones into hearing aid remote controls. This year marked a growth spurt, as the company invested $2.5 million to renovate its Bloomington headquarters in May and added more than 40 employees, taking the total to 518. A subsidary of Denmark-based GN Great Nordic, the company has U.S. revenues that have swelled 49 percent in the last three years.
