“A startup helping startups” is how Julie Pritchard-Hedtke and other company leaders describe Minneapolis-based Avio Medtech Consulting. Launched in 2020 by serial entrepreneur Morgan Evans, the company provides a range of consulting services to entrepreneurs looking to build new medical devices or technologies. It’s not an accelerator per se, but it works with several around town. A former VP with Siemens’ health care business, Pritchard-Hedtke joined Avio in early 2024. In the new year, she says she plans to prioritize finding strategic partners—big organizations like Mayo Clinic and others—who can help bring clients’ novel medtech ideas to life.
