There are noteworthy years and there are Noseworthy years. In 2013, Noseworthy, the head of Mayo Clinic, convinced the State of Minnesota to secure $585 million in state and local tax support gift to build a Destination Medical Center project in the next three decades. Also of note: While other massive spending projects, like the Vikings stadium, took years, the Mayo bill passed in a single session. "It's a great to be a Minnesotan, a great day to call Rochester our home," Noseworthy said at the time. "Based on this legislation, Mayo Clnic is prepared to invest in Minnesota, where we've been for 149 years, and now we'll be even stronger, for generations to come."
