When she joined U.S. Bank in 2016, Gunjan Kedia had extensive financial services experience that ranged from PwC to BNY Mellon. In May, she was promoted to president of U.S. Bancorp, assuming leadership over the company’s three business lines, making her well positioned to succeed Andy Cecere as CEO. Despite regulatory and economic uncertainty, in 2025 Kedia intends to take advantage of lower interest rates and a strong stock market to drive growth across the bank. That includes expanding U.S. Bank Smartly, a credit card/savings account program. As a leader, she says she emphasizes “keeping a learning orientation,” while maintaining a long-term strategic perspective.
