The Good Neighbor has watched its audience steadily erode for decades, to the point that it's now basically a niche talk radio station in the local market, with a graying audience. 'CCO's Philly-based owner, Audacy, brought in Hubbard Radio veteran Brad Lane this year to find a replacement for retired morning man Dave Lee and also develop a sustainable content strategy to restore the Good Neighbor to greater local relevance. It has not been an easy task, as several of the station's talent targets merely used 'CCO's offers to negotiate better deals at their current jobs. Still, for the first time in a long time, the local radio biz feels like there's leadership at 'CCO, which just might shake things up enough to attract some attention.
