A lawyer by training, Bob Paulson started his 25-year career in medical technology at Medtronic. Since then, he’s worked at a number of venture-backed medical companies. His most recent endeavor is Sonex Health, an Eagan-based firm that’s developed an ultrasound-guided device to treat carpal tunnel syndrome more quickly and with less recovery time. The FDA greenlit it in 2016. Now, Paulson is embarking on a randomized study to help bolster commercial adoption of the device. “The beauty of the medical device business is that you are designing devices that are intended to positively impact people’s lives.”
