Kleinschmidt's interest in the "hands-on work" of hotel investments and operations led him to his current role as the Carlson Rezider Group's chief financial and development officer after spending 22 years with Carlson. Kleinschmidt, who played a pivotal role in his opening the Radisson Blu Mall of America hotel in March, plans to further extend Carlson's brand footprint both nationally and internationally in the year ahead.
