After nearly five years as CFO of the Science Museum of Minnesota, Barry Gisser recently joined another St. Paul institution—American Public Media Group. APMG’s consolidated revenue for fiscal 2021 was $194 million. “Data and analytics allow us to better understand current and future audiences so that APMG is ready with the right offering,” Gisser says. In 2022, MPR, part of APMG, got a huge boost from an anonymous patron who donated $56 million for classical music programs and technology for new media. Gisser wants to provide “the right financial support” so the staff can use “the best ideas to drive growth and impact.”
