Working in downtown Minneapolis commercial real estate as the city recovers from a pandemic and navigates social unrest following the murder of George Floyd has been no easy task. He represents businesses seeking office real estate, a field he says became completely new terrain post-pandemic. A lifelong Minneapolis resident, Barrett’s work goes beyond company business; he also serves on the Minneapolis Downtown Council and the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce. “In order for us to lift our city up, it’s not just about business leaders—although they play an important role—it’s about all of the sectors that contribute.”
