Tammy Meehan Russell leveraged her network and deep knowledge of technology and transportation to found The Plum Catalyst, a strategy and social innovation incubator with a mission to advance research and deployment of emerging transportation technologies. She’s particularly skilled at finding creative solutions between the corporate world and local communities. For example, her company teamed up with May Mobility, a Michigan autonomous vehicle technology company, to test the program goMARTI (Minnesota’s Autonomous Rural Transit Initiative) in Grand Rapids, Minnesota. She also shares her skills by serving on several statewide and national boards and commissions that focus on uses of emerging transportation technologies. With Plum Mobility Labs, she supports youth engagement in technology through camps, micro-internships, tech hubs, and classroom settings.
