Stephen De Wees has helped expand Fulcrum Health’s service offerings, geographic footprint, and technology capabilities through strategic initiatives and acquisitions. Fulcrum Health is a nonprofit physical medicine benefits management company that promotes and provides access to physical medicine such as chiropractic care. Given the health care organization’s limited cash resources, De Wees developed additional financial controls, reporting, and liquidity management tools to keep leadership and the board apprised of the company’s needs and identify possible risks or opportunities. Under his leadership, Fulcrum experienced a 12.5% rate of staff growth, which led to the expansion and remodel of the company’s Plymouth headquarters. Thanks to his oversight, De Wees has paved the way for Fulcrum’s long-term financial sustainability at the departmental, customer, and product levels.
