An accomplished tech executive with 25 years of experience transforming organizational systems and cultures through the effective use of data and technology, Sharon Kennedy Vickers is known for delivering people-centered, equitable solutions. Following four years as chief information officer for the City of St. Paul, she took over as CEO of Twin Cities-based Software for Good in July 2022. “Sharon is the best leader I can imagine for the company I founded 19 years ago and the team I love,” says founder Casey Helbling. “Her vision of technology as a force for love and liberation is exactly what the world needs in this time of increasing violence and oppression.” Despite recent health challenges, Kennedy Vickers has continued to lead the Code Switch civic hackathons, which she founded, and serve numerous nonprofits including ACLU of Minnesota and Project for Pride in Living.
