Sandra Pulles provides direction to move ServeMinnesota toward more inclusive and just practices. Based in Minneapolis, ServeMinnesota is the hub for AmeriCorps in Minnesota, placing more than 2,000 individuals in communities to support education, environmental conservation, affordable housing, and more. Pulles bridges research and practice in communities primarily serving Black and Latino students to eliminate racial disparities in education. She helped build a training model that ensures AmeriCorps tutors are equipped to support students of all backgrounds. She’s a driving force behind strengthening career pathway opportunities for BIPOC young adults through certifications that recognize the work and training they receive as AmeriCorps members. Pulles serves as a board member and co-chair of the College Race Equity Advocacy Advisory Council with Minnesota Education Equity Partnership.
