Richard Magnuson has served as Allina Health’s CFO since 2017. He is responsible for ensuring that the Minneapolis-based health care system’s resources are properly deployed to enhance the quality, safety, and effectiveness of the care provided to patients and communities. Under his leadership, Allina Health has advanced its Whole Person Care model, rooted in population health initiatives and driven to provide care that recognizes all factors affecting health—mind, body, spirit, and community. To further the model, he’s led partnerships with market payers, including HealthPartners, to grow Allina’s value-based economic model rather than the traditional fee-for-service model. Magnuson has also implemented Allina Health’s Impact Investing, where dedicated funds are used to make investments that create positive social or environmental impact.
