Ramona Wilson has been building Knutson Construction’s diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy from the ground up since she joined in 2013. Prior to her tenure, Knutson averaged 10–12% minority workforce and 6–10% women; today, the company averages 25–29% BIPOC and 12–15% women. Knutson’s spending with diverse suppliers has also risen from 3% to 8%.  Wilson created the Knutson Alliance Program in 2015, providing developmental opportunities for minority-owned and women-owned businesses in the construction industry and has established partnerships with area schools and community organizations. She recently joined the board of HIRED, an organization that helps people prepare for and secure jobs to sustain their families. Wilson has been recognized among the top 100 women in supplier diversity by Women’s Enterprise USA.
