As CEO of Winona Health and chair of the board of St. Paul-based Minnesota Hospital Association (MHA), Rachelle Schultz is a tireless advocate for health. Intimately familiar with the health care industry, she’s a staunch advocate of rural health care in Minnesota and across the country. Her experiences as a health care leader have enabled her to provide legislators with a comprehensive perspective on the financial challenges of hospitals, which are further compounded by the health care workforce crisis. As she works to raise awareness about the important issues that could threaten the state’s future of nonprofit health care, “she is literally helping keep the doors of Minnesota health care open,” says MHA president and CEO Rahul Koranne. Throughout her MHA tenure, Schultz served on other community boards including Winona National Bank and the Winona Chamber of Commerce.
