Paul Johnston leads nine essential business functions at Thrivent, including corporate and government affairs, legal and compliance, corporate governance, procurement, and corporate real estate. Throughout his 16-year tenure with the Minneapolis-based financial services company, Johnston has frequently extended his leadership beyond traditional legal roles, including serving as interim leader of human resources and co-leading Thrivent’s business transformation initiatives. Johnston also chairs the internal corporate risk management committee and serves as primary liaison to Thrivent’s board of directors.
