Throughout her 20-year career, Dr. Nima Desai has developed a reputation as a strategic, people-focused leader in health care. She helped HealthPartners navigate the Covid-19 pandemic by leading an initiative to improve hospital access and ensuring patients continued to receive high-quality care. She’s built a highly inclusive hospital care team with goals of equitable care, patient experience, and employee wellness. Desai also spearheaded a health equity committee at Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park. The committee works to reduce disparities in care. Most recently, the committee transformed advanced care directives to include culturally competent language and care options. Beyond HealthPartners, she serves on the board of the Family Partnership, which serves vulnerable communities in the Twin Cities.
