Board member Mike Bauer has brought his passion for supporting those affected by cancer to Gilda’s Club Minnesota. Based in Minnetonka, the organization shares his mission and is an affiliate of the worldwide Cancer Support Community. Bauer lost his first wife to cancer when she was 23, and he saw Gilda’s Club addressing the isolation he knew firsthand. For the past eight years, he and his Plymouth-based company, Bauer Design Build, have held an annual clay shooting event to benefit the club. Convening employees, clients, partners, sponsors, and others, the event has raised more than $500,000 overall, helping the club to provide free services.
