Melodie Rose is a firm leader in several capacities at Fredrikson & Byron. In September, she became the first woman to be appointed as president in the firm's 75-year history. She is also chair of the Minneapolis firm’s business division, overseeing one of four primary business units. In the past year, she was elected to serve on the firm’s board of directors. She is also co-chair of the firm’s public companies/capital markets group, co-chair of the corporate governance group, and a member of the compensation committee. She’s built a portfolio of clients with whom she’s evolved from advising as legal counsel to partnering for the full life cycle of the organization. Outside the firm, she teaches corporate governance at the University of St. Thomas School of Law. She’s also on the board and the chair of the programming committee at the Minnesota chapter of the National Association of Corporate Directors.
