Over the course of her 32-year career, Mary Quist-Newins has climbed corporate ladders, shattered multiple glass ceilings, and formed her own practice. Noticing an educational gap for women navigating financial challenges, Quist-Newins formed the Moneyweave Academy in 2021, a nonprofit that teaches women how to achieve economic security. The Minneapolis nonprofit works to increase financial literacy for women through objective, trustworthy, and comprehensive education. Prior to the academy, Quist-Newins served as a professor of women’s studies at the American College of Financial Services in Pennsylvania. She held the only academic chair in the nation devoted to the study of women and money, and she founded the college’s Center for Women and Financial Services.
