Luisa Fuentes has been working to advance the professional contributions of educators across the Spanish-speaking world for more than two decades. With the Minneapolis-based Rayito de Sol, Fuentes has created a network of Spanish immersion early-learning centers with locations across Minnesota and Illinois. These bilingual and intercultural environments ensure that children, families, and educators see their identities and cultures represented and valued. A Peruvian-born immigrant, entrepreneur, educator, and journalist, Fuentes also leads Global Early Leadership, an international system designed to recognize and develop children’s leadership capacities in their earliest years.
