John Trautz, president of Trautz Properties, has served on the Amplify Mission Network board since its inception in 2018. He played a key role in developing the current board of directors and implementing Amplify’s first strategic plan supporting its mission of bringing together business and nonprofit leaders. Under his leadership, the Edina-based nonprofit has grown to more than 1,000 partners, amplifying more than 300 local nonprofits. Trautz also leverages his property development expertise to address issues of housing insecurity and homelessness in the Twin Cities. Before Amplify, he served as a board member for Alliance Housing in Minneapolis, which is focused on developing housing solutions for people who are homeless or disadvantaged. Last year, Trautz purchased an 11-unit apartment building in Minneapolis to rent to clients of Tubman Center, another local organization that provides safe shelter and services to those in need.
