In 2021, Janet Benton was promoted to chief operating officer at Bloomington-based Twin Cities Orthopedics (TCO) after serving as vice president of clinic services for three years. As COO, Benton oversees operations for more than 35 clinics, 11 urgent cares, four surgery centers, an orthopedic surgery and recovery program called EXCEL, physician recruitment, and centralized scheduling. In 2022, she led the way in modernizing clinics through a new practice management system and online scheduling. She is also leading TCO’s partnership with Ridgeview Medical Center to build the first orthopedic institute in Minnesota, scheduled to open in fall 2023.
