James Powell is the managing partner of KPMG’s Minneapolis office, where he oversees the audit, tax, and advisory services. As an audit partner, Powell has served companies from KPMG’s offices in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, Atlanta, Nashville, and Minneapolis. He leverages his 25 years of      finance experience to provide audit services to a wide variety of entities, from small private companies to large multinational, multibillion-dollar corporations, specializing in consumer goods, retail, transportation, pharmaceutical, and life sciences companies. Powell also serves on the board of KPMG U.S. Foundation, which advances the financial services firm’s commitment to equity, access, and creating opportunities within and outside the workplace. Powell actively supports the firm’s DEI initiatives; he serves on the Pride@KPMG advisory board and was its past national co-chair.
