Jaimala K. Pai joined Eden Prairie-based Bracco Medical Technologies (BMT), a subsidiary of Bracco S.p.A, just over a year ago and has built its global legal department from the ground up. Now leading a team of seven, Pai's group has curated a series of legal education programs for business colleagues, developed a commercial risk tolerance program, and launched a new IP support strategy, among other initiatives. She was recently named global head of legal and compliance operations for the parent company, and she also serves as the corporate secretary for two Bracco divisions as well as another company, HLT Inc. Before joining BMT, Pai worked at Medtronic, UnitedHealthcare, and Northwest Airlines, and she is currently the chair of the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity’s Alumni Executive Council.
