Hanna Getachew-Kreusser joined Face to Face Health & Counseling in 2018, at a time when the St. Paul nonprofit was floundering financially, which resulted in high staff turnover. Under her leadership, the organization has not only regained financial stability but doubled its annual budget. She leads a team of 60, including case managers, clinicians, and outreach workers, to meet the needs of the community in strategic and collaborative ways. This includes launching Face to Face’s first long-term workforce training program, expanding the restorative justice program for youths to include ages 18–24, and raising staff wages three times during the last fiscal year. “Hanna approaches her work as an opportunity to truly make life better for youth in the community,” says Thomas Kottke, chairman of Face to Face.
