As a former U.S. attorney, Erica MacDonald has successfully litigated hundreds of cases in federal court and presided over thousands of cases in state court. That experience led Faegre Drinker to appoint her co-chair of the Minneapolis-based firm’s white-collar defense and investigations team. In the last two years, MacDonald has successfully guided global companies through high-profile inquiries and enforcement actions, including government investigation into allegations of immigration and child labor violations by a global agribusiness, alleged misconduct by a large public company’s general counsel, and allegations of misconduct by a large financial institution’s CFO. Recently, she negotiated a successful favorable result for a large public company for a matter involving an eight-figure damages exposure. She is an adjunct professor at the University of Minnesota Law School.
