Dr. Timothy Lander’s keen vision for innovative solutions improves both patient care and organizational efficiencies at Children’s Minnesota. Lander oversaw the 2022 reopening of Children’s Minnesota’s Minnetonka Surgery Center following a two-year pause on outpatient procedures due to Covid-19. A highly regarded surgeon, he’s also designed software for the hospital system including the System 2 Share, a real-time problem-solving tool that has become a foundational element for the continuous-improvement initiative at Children’s Minnesota. Lander has mentored and served as a role model for LGBTQ+ medical students and professionals, helping build a culture of inclusivity in the hospital system.
