Before Darrel German took over as Huntington Bank’s Minnesota regional president in 2021, the bank’s presence in the state was a retail branch network with approximately 70 locations. Under German’s leadership, the bank has built several dedicated teams supporting business lines like mortgage, middle market banking, business banking, small business administration lending, and wealth management. He leveraged 30 years of experience standing up similar teams in banking and financial services to rapidly grow the Huntington staff in the Minnetonka office. German is chair of the Minneapolis Regional Chamber, a member of the M Health Fairview Philanthropic board and the Guthrie Theater board, and is on the finance committee for the YMCA of the North.
