Darin McDonald is responsible for establishing and implementing the technology strategy at UCare, a Minneapolis-based health plan company. He led the completion of UCare’s core systems transformation, which has resulted in an industry-leading claims adjudication rate of 93%. McDonald also helped implement a new transportation system to provide members with reliable transportation to health care appointments. His guidance was integral in moving the nonprofit to a value-based delivery. He also established AI policies and governance that align with the company’s mission and values. A nationally recognized expert on health payer information technology and an active member of the Inspire Leadership Network, McDonald engages in discussions led by America’s Health Insurance Plans and the Alliance of Community Health Plans.
