A 20-year veteran of 3M management, Cordell Hardy currently leads a functionally and geographically diverse solid-line reporting organization responsible for international enterprise, technical infrastructure, and support from 3M’s Maplewood office. This includes product stewardship, pilot processing, and analytical laboratories. Hardy, who has a PhD in chemical engineering, reports to 3M’s chief technology officer and serves as a core member of the company’s corporate technical operating committee. Prior to his current role, Hardy spent four years as the global R&D vice president for 3M’s $1.8 billion commercial solutions business—one of 3M’s fastest-growing divisions today. He also is the current board chair of Minnesota Community Care, the state’s largest federally qualified health clinic, and previously served on the board of CyberOptics.
