Maple Grove-based Upsher-Smith Laboratories celebrated Becky Jansen’s 20th anniversary at the company by promoting her to associate vice president of technical services. The pharmaceutical company says she’s been an integral partner in the development and opening of Upsher-Smith’s new 300,000-square-foot manufacturing facility. Jansen led the process and equipment design of the new plant, ensuring every efficiency the company desired was incorporated. Going forward, she will continue to play a major role in growth and product development. From her first role as an associate scientist to her current executive position, Jansen has been personally involved in the approval and commercialization of at least 20 products. Her commitment to continuous improvements has saved the company an estimated $15 million.
