In his executive role at Amplio, Andy Clausen helps make small business dreams a reality. Amplio is an Arden Hills-based nonprofit certified by the U.S. Small Business Administration to provide SBA 504 loans in Minnesota and western Wisconsin. With his 25 years of experience, Clausen works with small business borrowers and their bankers to provide financing to help them purchase or improve real estate or capital equipment. In the last two years, Amplio experienced unprecedented demand for SBA 504 loans, and Clausen led the charge to serve as many small businesses as possible. This resulted in a 40% increase in loan approvals in 2021 and 11% in 2022, equating to a $54.8 million investment and a leverage of over $123 million. Thanks in large part to Clausen’s efforts, Amplio has supported the creation of thousands of jobs in Minnesota.
