Andrew Meelberg leads the commercial real estate team at Alerus, where he guides commercial real estate strategy and oversees the company’s commercial real estate loan investment portfolio. After joining the Minneapolis financial services company in 2022, Meelberg recruited CRE specialists and worked closely with the credit union department to enhance processes and procedures. In just 10 months, he led his team to close more than $200 million in loans, despite industrywide challenges in the lending and commercial real estate environments. A widely respected industry expert, Meelberg brings to Alerus more than 20 years of experience, with leadership roles at Bremer Bank, Great Southern Bank, BMO Private Bank, and TCF Bank.
