Since joining Twin Cities PBS in January 2021, Amina Jaafar has worked with staff, trustees, community stakeholders, and public media leaders nationwide to implement inclusion, diversity, equity, and accessibility (IDEA) as a core value and a Twin Cities Public Television (TPT) framework. Jaafar is an adviser for TPT’s new digital series That Got Weird, an animated series that depicts being BIPOC in Minnesota. Before joining St. Paul-based TPT, Jaafar served in leadership roles with the University of Minnesota’s Office for Equity and Diversity.
