As chair of Hellmuth & Johnson’s litigation practice department, Robert Keena has helped build a diverse team of 40-plus litigators who appear in state and federal courts nationwide. Keena has been with the Edina-based firm for 25 years and has acted as a first-chair litigator and supervisor on matters ranging from employment law and business disputes to real estate, construction, and probate contests. Notably this year, Keena helped secure a trial victory for Lagoon Partners in a commercial lease dispute against Landmark Theaters regarding the latter’s failure to pay rent at a theater Lagoon owned. The advisory jury found Lagoon’s actions were reasonable and recommended it be awarded the amount requested.
